JAMZ Creamery
231 E Manchester Blvd
Inglewood, CA 90301
424-351-8217
JAMZ Creamery is a small, take out ice cream store in Inglewood. Located across Manchester Blvd, from Dulan's Soul Food Kitchen! It's a bright building with ice cream displayed in an L-shaped room.
Double scoop of ice cream-$3.85. While their website says $3.75. I got rocky road and chocolate malted crunch. I forgot to take a picture before diving into the rocky road. But, the rocky road was nice and creamy, with lots of almonds and marshmallows. But, the chocolate malted crunch tasted way too much like Thrifty's Ice Cream! If I wanted Thrifty's ice cream, I would have gone to Rite Aid!
Service is good. Very friendly people.
I would go back to Jamz for the rocky road ice cream. But, I when I go out I don't want something I can get at the store!

Cocobella
Cocobella
1253 Vine St
Los Angeles, CA 90038
323-848-4672
In the same shopping center as Doomies Home Cookin, home of the vegan Big Mac, Cocobella is a vegan ice cream place. The space used to be an Eastern European restaurant that closed, matter of fact, I never saw one customer in there, while I was at Doomies. One great thing I found out, Doomies has opened their Next Mex restaurant, right next door. It's vegan Mexican!!
Anyways a bright, airy place with the ice cream along the back wall, and some tables in the front.
Toasted smores, $5.50. This is made out of coconut milk and soy. It was very tasty, but the texture threw me off. It was very grainy! I really don't know what causes this to be grainy. If this wasn't grainy, I would have liked it much more.
Service is good. The lady was very nice and helpful!
I would go back to Cocobella. They gave samples and I tried the salted caramel, and it was good, but wasn't as grainy. They have different flavors at different times of the year. The strawberry lemonade looked really good! That will be my choice when I come back for Doomies Next Mex!

Hans’ Homemade Ice Cream
Hans’ Homemade Ice Cream
440 S Anaheim Blvd
Anaheim, CA 92805
714-520-0445
Hans’ Homemade Ice Cream near the South Coast Plaza has been on my bucketlist of places to try since 2011. But, since it is in the disgusting Orange County and their pretentious jerk people, I wasn't in a rush to get there. When, I found out that they opened a location in the Anaheim Packing House, I rushed down there, since it is close by and Anaheim isn't as bad as going near the South Coast Plaza.
Originally, I had planned just to go to Hans' for ice cream. But, it was near dinner time and I saw The Chippy Fish & Grill, so I had dinner there first and then stopped in for dessert! When I left to go to my car, I saw a sign that said no pictures are allowed inside the Packing House!! Really? In this day and age of social media, a popular place doesn't want people taking pictures? Give me a break! Who the hell is managing this facility? On Yelp, Hans has 22 PAGES of pictures!!
Double scoop with pistachio almond and rocky road, $5.75. I like chocolate and ice cream with almonds and pistachio. I liked the fact that this ice cream had a ton of nuts in both flavors. Not skimping on the nuts. But, overall the ice cream is good, not great, certainly not worth a drive to Santa Ana. I think Fosselman's is better and I'm not a huge fan of Fosselman's.
Service is good.
I'm glad I finally checked off Hans' from my bucketlist! I don't need to waste my money or driving into the deplorable Orange County for this ice cream.

De Soto Pharmacy-Closed
De Soto Pharmacy
20914 Roscoe Boulevard
Canoga Park, CA 91304
818-341-9515
After having terrible pizza at Barone’s The Pizzeria Express, I went to DeSoto Pharmacy/Jerry's Soda Shop for some ice cream! As the name suggests, this is a pharmacy with a soda shop.
The soda shop is has a small counter with about ten stools and a couple tables.
Two scoop strawberry sundae, with cherry vanilla and toasted almond, $8.20 with tax. They use Fosselman's Ice Cream which is good stuff. The ice cream I picked was great, much better than the flavor I had my first time at Fosselman's, and the toppings were good.
Service was good.
If I lived in the Valley, I would go to De Soto Pharmacy. But, since they use Fosselman's Ice Cream, there is no need to drive all the way out to the Valley. I can just go to Alhambra and get the samething!

The Parlor Frozen Yogurt & Creperie
The Parlor Frozen Yogurt & Creperie
1453 W Arrow Hwy
San Dimas, CA 91773
909-599-7610
The Parlor Frozen Yogurt & Creperie is located a few doors down from Mike's Pizza. It's been opened for almost three years. A fairly large size store with a few tables inside and two tables outside. You order at the counter and you can watch them make your crepe.
It's a combination Cold Stone and Yogurtland, expect you don't serve yourself. They offer about 6-8 flavors of frozen yogurt. You can choose to have your yogurt in a cup, waffle cone or cup, or on a freshly made crepe.
It was empty when I walked on a Wednesday night in summer and only a group of three people came in while I was finishing my cone. But had a good amount of people when I went to Mike's Pizza.
Build your own crepe, $9.95. Choice of frozen yogurt-Pistachio, two toppings- Twix bar and almonds, and choice to flavor drizzle-carmel!
Since this is a creperie, I decided to get build my own crepe. I watched as the owner put the crepe batter on the hot pan, and in a couple minutes he was forming the crepe cone. I then picked the flavor of frozen yogurt, two toppings and flavor drizzle. They will mix the frozen yogurt and the toppings together, just like Cold Stone. The flavors all worked well together and if they didn't it was my fault! He used an entire regular sized package of the Twix bar- one and a half pieces mixed into the frozen yogurt and half a piece to garnish the cone!
I liked this crepe cone, but this is an once in awhile indulgence. It's too pricey for anything else or unless I win the next big lotto! Or I could come back for just the frozen yogurt.
Service is good. The husband and wife team who are the owners are very nice. Many Cold Stone locations closed because of the high prices. Maybe a "mom n pop" type store free from the restraints of a franchise, can stay in business much longer. I hope The Parlor can stay in business for a long time.
